Wow. What a night! I am still on a high. The talent we have in Cowley County is ASTOUNDING! Ten TOP-NOTCH performers each doing two songs (of their own choice), a world-class band that rocked the Burford Theatre, led by the incomparable Stephen Butler, a committee of dedicated volunteers to help plan, decorate, AND clean up, wonderful food by Great Western Catering, an amazing Silent Auction, a toast to the newly reformed Ark Valley Players… and on, and on! I was on such a buzz last night that I didn’t sleep until 2 AM!
In all honesty, though, AVP has to thank the wonderful people who partnered with us last night. We filled all but a few seats! The support and love we all felt last night was overwhelming. Just crazy! We thank you from the bottom of our heart!
You can BET this will be an annual fundraiser, and we’ll be looking at starting planning in a few short months for next year. If you missed out this go-round, you have next year to look forward to!
Again, thank you-thank you… to all of YOU!
We are so excited about A Toast to Broadway, which is coming up next Saturday, July 14. This is Ark Valley Players first benefit concert, and all funds generated will go directly back into Ark Valley Players, which will give us the opportunity to bring you even MORE amazing LIVE theatre, right here in South Central Kansas and Northern Oklahoma!
We have had so many amazing businesses and individual’s partner with us for this event. Our silent auction, alone, would not be possible, if not for the enormous generosity of many local businesses. These donations are going to make up some pretty fantastic packages (we have had over 2K in donations!)
We want to take the time to recognize our donors, because without them, this event wouldn’t be possible.

Design elements to consider (these are only suggestions to get your creative juices flowing):
• Theatre elements: lights, curtains, hands joining together to create a piece of theatre, comedy/tragedy mask
• Community elements: hands, hearts
• South Central Kansas/Northern Oklahoma Landscape: sunflowers, wheat, rolling hills, rivers, trees
The color schemes we are focusing on for branding are black/gold/wine or green/purple.
You may submit as many designs as you wish, but please keep the color scheme in mind. This can be tweaked at a later stage, as well.
